Conferences, meetings, process and business models definition… we don’t lack sollicitations and projects. If we had believed one minute that we would stop moving after the Tour de France, we would have been wrong! Everything is going forward; it’s moving on at Hopineo’s…
Europe’s responsible tourism
[one_half]After the Tour de France’ epilogue in the Baie de Somme, we prepared our first official conference. On December, 2nd we were in Brussels to participate to a meeting organized by EARTH (European Alliance for Responsible Tourism and Hospitality) and NECSTouR (Network of European regions committed to sustainable tourism) dealing with tourism’s evolution in a sharing economy. It was for us the opportunity to test our ideas and the way to present them in front of a concerned audience, including ATES, HomeExchange, Evea Tourism, GreenHopping and many more.
Hit at heart! The HopTrips raise interest, from travelers willing to commit as well as from networks, in France and elsewhere in Europe.
The day before, while Justine was participating to a meeting organized by DefisMed dealing with the construction of the first MOOC (Massive Online Open Course) dedicated to ecotourism, I was discovering with the eyes of a kid the European Commission. It was the European Tourism Day, with a little bit less than 300 actors of the european tourism sector. Unfortunately only very few words about responsible tourism. But most of all, this experience confirmed that Hopineo is going to stay focused on the field, by the field, for the field, and leave the lobbying and reflexions on public policies to those who are specialized in this exercise…
[/one_half_last]Projects growing
[one_half]Wednesday, December 3rd. We gladly meet again with one of our friends from the Tour de France to present to him and his partners a project of HopTour within the network of accommodations they coordinate. Our proposal is to use HopTrips in order to consolidate the quality and responsible approach of the network, as well as to create a innovative marketing tool to present the network commitments and actions to the public. A short / medium term project which would allow Hopineo to collect new HopSolutions, insure its legitimacy as a solution to enhance SMEs committed to sustainable tourism, and create emulation within our growing HopTripers network.
[/one_half] [one_half_last]Meanwhile, offers for partnership and the so linked negotiations are going on. We should soon be able to confirm the feasibility of developing Hopineo the way we intend to, based on free but transparency guided contribution from beneficiaries of the actions and organization we are implementing.
Last but not least, we are working on a little surprise for the end of the year, in partnership with FrapaDoc Productions (if you clic, you will have a serious clue of what could be the suprise…). And yesterday, we met Aude for the second time. She could be joining the Hopineo team as soon as in January.
In a nutshell, everything moving in the direction we want to go to, which we decided collectively with Florie, Jean-Luc, Justine and myself: develop HopTrips and put the sharing economy at the service of responsible tourism.[/box] [one_half]
So needless to say that we are totally excited, and clear-minded, as we finish preparing our next conference: we will participate on Tuesday to a technical day in Dinan, organized by CRT Bretagne. We will present some of the solutions we collected dealing with responsible purchases.
And it is with a lot of happyness that we will take advantage of our visit in Brittany to stay with Béatrice and Michel at Domaine de la Ville Heleuc, one of the first accomodation we visited on our Tour de France this summer.
